Lyrics that make you grit your teeth >_<

Everyone should have at least experienced one moment when our patience, determination and desire were stepped on, spat on, ridiculed, or simply shunted away. If you haven’t, I wonder where do you live. Aight straight to the subject.

Metallica’s ‘Broken, Beat and Scarred’
You rise, you fall, your down, then you rise again
What don’t kill you make you more strong
You rise, you fall, your down, then you rise again
What don’t kill you make you more strong

Rise, fall, down, rise again
What don’t kill you make you more strong
Rise, fall, down, rise again
What don’t kill you make you more strong

Through black days
Through black nights
Through pitch black insights

Breaking your teeth on the hard life coming
Show your scars
Cutting your feet on the hard earth running
Show your scars
Breaking your life
Broken, beat and scarred
But we die hard

The dawn, the death, the fight to the final breath
What don’t kill you make you more strong
The dawn, the death, the fight to the final breath
What don’t kill you make you more strong

Dawn, death, fight, final breath
What don’t kill you make you more strong
Dawn, death, fight, final breath
What don’t kill you make you more strong

They scratched me
They scraped me
They cut and rape me

Breaking your teeth on the hard life coming
Show your scars
Cutting your feet on the hard earth running
Show your scars
Breaking your life
Broken, beat and scarred
But we die hard

Breaking your teeth on the hard life coming
Show your scars
Cutting your feet on the hard earth running
Show your scars
Braiding your soul in a hard luck story
Show your scars
Spilling your blood in a hot suns foray
Show your scars
Breaking your life
Broken, beat and scarred
We die hard

We die hard
We die hard

My Alam dan Manusia teacher once told me, one of the best traits of the human race is adaptability and resilience. He gave me an example of an amateur weightlifter who began by lifting a set of 3kg dumb-bells. Every day he would add 1 kg, and to cope with the increasing weight, his body began ‘building/conditioning’ new set of tougher, stronger muscles until whatever the limit his/our body was/were created for. Morale? I like stories. Nah, don’t give up too easily. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, or based on the lyrics ‘more strong’ (hey that’s the only part that left me wondering, maybe it’s correct since they didn’t add the suffix -er to the word strong but still sounds a bit weird).

Best gritting face? Wolverine from X-Men. I used to collect their comics when I was in primary schools. They cost a fortune T_T and yet I think I lost most of them. Stupid kid! People would pay dollars for those old comics….

Enough with the grittin stuff, time for some laugh. Madtv is the best when it comes to parodies. I love Nsync and I love this clip!
